As of December 2nd, Jens Bergensten Minecraft Tools , or 'Jeb,' was appointed on the lead developer spot of Minecraft, confirmed by Marcus Person, also known as 'Notch,' (the last lead developer and creator of Minecraft) that his co worker, Jeb, was taking over, via twitter. Jeb has been a constant addition to Minecraft, however the game was made by Notch. Jeb was alongside Notch while he added additions on the game including wolves, pistons and map structures. A quote from Notch stated that 'it would be a scary move, but what Minecraft needs at this time. He's more mod friendly than I am, and now we need to embrace mods more."
As the name suggests, the 1.6 update adds horses to Minecraft in addition to donkeys and mules plus horse armor and leads had to maintain the animals and also other mobs from wandering around. One thing to keep in mind using the horse armor though is that it are only able to be present in loot chests within dungeons, Nether fortresses, abandoned mineshafts and desert temples. Hay bales are already added being a new craftable item as well as you can't have horses without hay.
